African Library Project

4th Graders of Mooresville Intermediate School

10/17/2016 to 11/18/2016
Mooresville NC

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

The fourth graders of Mooresville Intermediate School are working hard to collect gently used and new books to create a library of 1000 books to send to Africa. The shipment of the books will cost $500 and we would love your support.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

We know we are fortunate to learn the way we do in Mooresville! Each student having a laptop to study, create, and collaborate with opens many doors for us. It is an amazing feeling to know we are working together to open a door of learning to kids who do not have what we have.

Please contribute these kinds of books...

We need books for a junior high school library and would appreciate any gently used or new books for grades 2nd grade-6th grade.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

We need any and all donations to help with the $500 dollar shipping cost of the books we collect. Click DONATE at the top of our page and select "Book Drive Shipping Donation." When you enter the code of B11-26, all donations will help us with our shipment costs.
