African Library Project

Daisy Troop 2747's Book Drive for Ghana

01/01/2015 to 03/31/2015
Sterling VA

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

A Daisy Girl Scout Troop based out of the ADAMS Center in Northern VA

We want to start a library in Africa because...

we want to make the world a better place through education! Our troop is made up of mostly first graders who are learning that it is possible to accomplish anything, as long as you can read and are willing to work hard. We want other children in the world to have the same opportunity. Our girls may be small, but they want to be mighty in causing a change for others!
