Books For Botswana
Troop 61280

12/01/2019 to 01/31/2020
San Jose CA

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

We are a girl scout troop of 13 who are in 5th grade. All the girls in our troop are either 10 or 11. Some of us have been in the troop since kindergarten and some have started this year. This is going to be our first badge of the year.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

We are trying to give kids who haven't read a book before a chance to love books like us and educate themselves.

About our African Partners...

The people receiving the books are from Botswana. The books will be used in a community library.
