Tvisha's African Library Project

07/29/2019 to 11/01/2019
Suwanee GA

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

I'm Tvisha! I am a rising freshman from Suwanee, Georgia. I like to be involved in helping communities and volunteer frequently. This book drive is another way for me to give back!

We want to start a library in Africa because...

I have always loved to read, and I want to give others the same chance I got. I want to give kids the same privilege I have. I believe that people around the world should have access to education.

Please contribute these kinds of books...

In this book drive, we are asking for community library books. This means please donate books at U.S. pre-school to 8th-grade reading level.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

You can bring books anytime between now and November 1st. Please drop them off at 6125 Farrier Ct. Suwannee, Georgia. 30024.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

For fundraising, I would ask if there are any unused item in your household. Things like old china can be sold and will allow me to raise funds efficiently.

Here are some ways that you can help...

A very simple way you can help is by donating gently-used or new books. Also, unused household items can be donated as a way to fundraise money. I also ask that you spread the word and share this website with others.
