Chase & Jack's Book Drive

05/08/2019 to 09/03/2019
Walnut Creek CA

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

Chase and Jack are best-friend brothers who are so excited to share their love of books with kids in Lesotho. Chase (age 6) is a first grader who loves playing and watching all kinds of sports. His favorite book series are Merlin Missions, Frog and Toad, and Dog Man. Jack (age 3) is rarely without a train or car in his hand, but he loves his books! Jack's favorites are Cars books, Thomas the train books, and Chuggington.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

South Africa holds a special place in Chase and Jack's parents hearts as they volunteered in the Nyanga township in South Africa back in 2010. When the boys learned that many kids do not have access to books, they wanted to do something to help change that.
