Tyler's Book Drive

01/02/2016 to 03/10/2016
Lithonia GA

The African Library Project brings gently used books to an African community that has lots of eager readers but very few books. Please help by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It only takes 1000 books and $500 to start a single library (and a little elbow grease!)

This book drive is organized by ...

This is a project to increase global education and level the playing field for all people by providing equal education.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

As an African American, I would like to see the intelligence of our community grow but instead I see ignorance growing. Giving books is my way of supporting the education movement.

About our African Partners...

Our African Library partner in Ghana is Surano, A Divine Wisdom Preparatory School.

Please contribute these kinds of books...

Please contribute books at a Preschool - 6th grade reading level. If possible, please include teacher resource materials such as books, lesson plans, posters and games aimed at improving teaching.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

You can contribute books by bringing them to Arabia Mountain High school any time in the month of February and leaving them at the front desk for Mrs. Moore.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

You can give simply by giving fund electronically at gofundme.com/6wjkfx7w and feel free to give a little or a lot. Every cent counts.

Here are some ways that you can help...

You can also help by sharing this page with everyone you know that can help or by donating sturdy cardboard boxes along with books, for shipping.
