The African Library Project brings gently used books to an African community that has lots of eager readers but very few books. Please help by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It only takes 1000 books and $500 to start a single library (and a little elbow grease!)

This book drive is organized by ...

Hello, I am an eighth grader who loves reading. Reading opened up doors to me that really showed me the world. I want to share those doors with those less fortunate to show the beauty of the written word. We are collecting gently used books.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

Starting a library is like planting a seed. This seed can grow into a beautiful tree that changes the community. This tree will provide education and entertainment that will fuel generations to see what they can become.

Please contribute these kinds of books...

The type of books we are looking for are fourth to eight grade books.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

Email us if you are interested in donating and helping out. We will arrange for pick up.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...
