African Library Project

MTHS Media Center ALP Book Drive

01/26/2015 to 05/15/2015
Winston-Salem NC

The African Library Project brings gently used books to an African community that has lots of eager readers but very few books. Please help by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It only takes 1000 books and $500 to start a single library (and a little elbow grease!)

This book drive is organized by ...

We want to start a library in Africa because...

We feel that this will unify our student body because this is a service project that anyone can feel good about. We all have "gently used" books at home or at least a dollar to donate for postage.

About our African Partners...

We can't wait to find out who our School is!

Please contribute these kinds of books...

We need new and gently used books from pre-school to the 8th grade reading level.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

Drop off your book donations in the Media Center or the front office.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

We will need approximately $250 for postage, so we will take cash donations too!

Here are some ways that you can help...
