African Library Project

Nyambo Library Project

01/05/2015 to 03/05/2015
Bayside NY

The African Library Project brings gently used books to an African community that has lots of eager readers but very few books. Please help by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It only takes 1000 books and $500 to start a single library (and a little elbow grease!)

We want to start a library in Africa because...

reading is a life long skill that we all need. Giving children the opportunity to read a variety of books is the best gift of all.

About our African Partners...

Our African Library partner in Swaziland is Nyambo Primary School.

Please contribute these kinds of books...

Our goal for this Primary library is to collect 1,000 gently used preschool-4th grade books. If possible, please include teacher resource materials such as books, lesson plans, posters and games aimed at improving teaching.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

Please contact Irene Zajac via email @ hibabydoll9@gmail.com
We are collecting until March 3 2015.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

We have set up a GoFundMe account. Here is the link...
