North Richland Hills TX

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

We are a group of high schoolers excited about impacting lives in other parts of the world. Promoting reading in other countries is just one way we can positively influence others. Many of the kids working this project attend Fort Wort Christian School, but the project is completely unassociated with the school itself.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

Contributing to the global cause of education is one way we will be able to have a lasting impact on future generations.

Many of the children in these countries have ambitious dreams, but they are not able to fulfill these dreams because they lack the resources. By giving providing them with a better education, we equip them to embrace challenges and create positive changes in the communities, fulfilling dreams and changing lives.

About our African Partners...

We are collecting books and money to build a primary library for kids from kindergarten to 4th grade in Sierre Leone.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

We are going to be contacting places that will potentially be able to provide books like libraries, schools, and donations centers, but we do not have a specific location to drop off books. Because of this, those interested in providing books should call or email Micah or Hannah with the provided contact information and we will come collect your books. Others who want to reach out to their communities and set up book drives or ask local centers for books should contact Micah or Hannah as well.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

We plan to reach out to our communities, families, and neighbors to raise funds for the library. We need anyone willing to participate to reach out to their friends, families, and communities to promote awareness for the African Library Project. If you want to donate, please call or email Micah or Hannah.

Here are some ways that you can help...

The simplest way you can help us is by providing books or donations to start the library. Those who want to help can promote awareness of the African Library Project with their friends and family members and acquire books or funds from those people as well. Volunteers will be needed to reach out to book collection centers and work with us in events, but as of now, we are still planning and coordinating events like neighborhood block walks. As stated earlier, if you are interested in volunteering, contact Micah or Hannah
