Books All Around for African Library Project

10/22/2012 to 12/09/2012
Pittsburgh PA

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

Sophia. As an avid reader, I wanted to share books with those who do not have access to them and to promote literacy.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

Through the power of reading, we believe that the level of education, health care, and jobs will continue to improve in Botswana. We hope that some day, the dire statistics of 1 out of 4 adults in Botswana living with HIV will be improved while their life expectancy increases to more than 50 years!

About our African Partners...

Kgabotshwene Primary School (Pre-K to 4th) in Botswana. This school serves 123 students and teachers.

Please contribute these kinds of books...
