The African Library Project brings gently used books to an African community that has lots of eager readers but very few books. Please help by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It only takes 1000 books and $500 to start a single library (and a little elbow grease!)

I'm 12 and I am doing this for my eagle project. I love to read. When I found out that about 1/3 of Africans are illiterate I wanted to help.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

They really need one and since we have so much extra it would be simple to donate.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

We will collect them July 25th with the scouts at night. Please leave them on your doorstep. You can call me for pick up as well. Checks may be made out to "African Library Project" and sent to 1989 Ingot Way South Jordan, Utah 84095

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...
