Virginia Beach VA

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

We want to be able to share the joy of reading with others.

About our African Partners...

Please contribute these kinds of books...

All types are welcome! (except american history)

Here's how you can contribute your books...

You can drop your books off at Princess Anne High School in the box in the foyer.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

We plan on having a cashola and then using the money from that to purchase wristbands, which we will then sell for $1 each, allowing us to make a profit close to $600.

Here are some ways that you can help...

You can donate books and tell others to do so as well!

Special thanks to an English teacher that has helped us raise a big portion of the books, you know who you are!

Tips for Other Book Drive Organizers

Try to possibly do compeitions between classes for some type of party if you are doing the drive at a school, this will motivate people to bring in more books!
