African Library Project

Help Us Read!

10/27/2011 to 04/30/2011
NY

The African Library Project brings gently used books to an African community that has lots of eager readers but very few books. Please help by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It only takes 1000 books and $500 to start a single library (and a little elbow grease!)

We want to start a library in Africa because...

Hi, My name is Margaret, I'm from Ghana and today I am a professional with one of the Big Four Accounting companies. Considering how far I have come, I want to make a difference in the lives of others who do not have the opportunity I had. And I want to start by helping them to READ.

About our African Partners...

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

The books will travel over 5,000 miles to reach Ghana. You can contact me personally to arrange how to make a donation. Remember, no amount is too little!

Here are some ways that you can help...

• Make a donation towards the cost of shipping the books
