African Library Project

Books for Nkhungwini Primary School

02/25/2018 to 04/07/2018
Stokesdale NC

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

Our daughter is a Peace Corps volunteer involved in bringing a library to a school in her community in Swaziland. We are gathering books from friends, families, neighbors, co-workers and local organizations to help grow literacy in this community.

About our African Partners...

Students at the Nkhungwini Primary School are very excited to be getting a library at their school!

Please contribute these kinds of books...

Gently used books at U.S. Pre-school to 4th grade reading level.

Here's how you can contribute your books...

We are collecting books from Feb. 25 through April 7, 2018. Please contact us and we will come pick up books at a time convenient for you. If you would prefer to make a donation, we will happily use your contribution to purchase more books!

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

Shipping 1,000 books to Swaziland will cost approximately $500. We will thankfully accept any contributions to apply to shipping expenses.
