Kindness through Books Project

05/07/2017 onward
Delray Beach FL

We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

4 years ago I visited Ghana during a very profound trip! I visited schools in rural areas and was greeted by so many children full of potential and desire to learn, but little resources to do so. There are tons of communities like these all over Africa. This is why I have decided to partner up with African Library Project and donate a full library to an African community in need. I just received confirmation that my library will be donated to a school in Kenya. The coolest thing about this project is that the library will be open to the community! This means that it won’t be limited to the school’s students, but rather any child or adult who wants to learn or improve their reading skills will be able to do so!
Please help me spread the joy of reading to Kenya!

Please contribute these kinds of books...

Please send gently used or new books for pre-school to 8th grade reading level
