We are working with the African Library Project to provide books to eager readers in Africa who have very few books. Please help us by collecting and delivering gently used books or by raising money to help pay for shipping to Africa. It takes only 1000 books and $500 (plus a little elbow grease!) to start a single library and make a huge difference in children’s lives.

This book drive is organized by ...

Hello! My name is Lisa White. I am a wife, mom, and follower of Jesus. I have been married to Rick for 13 years and have been homeschooling our son, Samuel , 11 years old, since kindergarten. I love to travel, watch comedy and laugh, help out in kid's ministry, and read.

We want to start a library in Africa because...

In December 2016, I had a dream come true of traveling to Ghana, Africa on a mission trip. Our team brought food (Kids Against Hunger) for schools, churches, a prison, and orphanages. I was blessed to meet beautiful children eager to learn but they had no resources and no libraries in there schools or communities. I can not imagine a world without books! The Lord has put in my heart to "build a library" and directed me to African Library Project to make that dream a reality!

About our African Partners...

With all of us working together, we will provide a library for the New View Academy, in Kumasi, Ghana. This is a primary school, which is pre-school through 4th grade. They have 200 students.

We need to raise funds for shipping the books...

$500 is needed for shipping of these books. If 50 people donate $10 each, we are covered!! Approximately $250 is used when I ship the books via Media mail to African Library Project's warehouse in New Orleans. The other $250 is sent to the with the books to help pay for shipping overseas to Ghana. Checks can be made payable to Lisa White or we can arrange to pay through Paypal.

Here are some ways that you can help...
